Liberty STEM 7th Grade Best in State Ecybermission

Liberty STEM 7th grade students on Team Voltage took first and second place for State for eCybermission—an engineering competition where the students come up with a problem to solve in our community. EACH first place winner gets a $1,000 savings bond, and our second place winners get $500 each.

Cheney Verizon App Team Best in Nation

We are proud of the hard work, creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and communication the Verizon App challenge team snap docs has exemplified this year. Under the leadership of parent advisor Toni Stith the app team won Best in Nation earning $20,000 for the STEM program and to develop their app. Students on the team include Joram Stith, Sera Blake, Haison Nguyen, Zach Milbrandt, Hunter Kloemedst. The first ever West Fargo STEM Academy produced learning opportunities for students and adults, together.  Student participants modeled design focused learning and the application of the Engineering Design Process. Teachers worked hard to develop and apply their philosophy of STEM Education as well as form a standards based instructional unit.
